Daiya Vegan Salad Dressing Review - Never Thought I'd Say This…
Hello friends. Today is a short and sweet Daiya vegan salad dressing review... they are almost decently priced (they'll generally run you about $7-$10 per bottle depending on where you buy) and these products actually taste pretty good. I never thought there would be a time in my life when I'd be able to say that! I am not vegan, but I am not really supposed to eat dairy or eggs so vegan dressing is where it's at for me! I finally had a chance to try all three Daiya dressings and can’t wait to share my thoughts. By the way, this post isn't sponsored by Daiya. I'm just stoked on life that this exists haha. Also, let me just say this: I am not a foodie, I am not a chef or expert food person. I'm just a regular woman with way too many dietary restrictions, who really wants to have a decent salad once in a while haha. So take these thoughts and this Daiya vegan salad dressing review for what it is: my unbridled opinions on something that should usually be pretty mundane.
Daiya vegan salad dressing review
Daiya Vegan Caesar Dressing. YUM. Tastes very similar to the "real thing." Quite flavourful, good consistency, doesn't have much of an "artificial" taste as far as I can tell. I've tried it with traditional caesar salad and fixings, some random salad with random fixings, as a pizza dip and as a veggie dip, and it holds up. Every time. This dressing is a gift from above. And the best part is that I don't have to worry about upsetting my stomach by eating it, AND I'm encouraged to eat veggies because I have this delicious stuff to put on top.
Daiya Vegan Blue Cheese Dressing. Hard pass! I went out on a limb with this one. I really thought this could be an interesting flavour to try. Something new to spice up my life. But alas, it tastes quite artificial in my opinion, which kind-of ruins the flavour. I think this could be OK for someone who likes blue cheese in general, but for someone who was sort-of on the fence about it before, this just won't do it for you. Sorry. Better luck next time.
Daiya Vegan Homestyle Ranch Dressing
Another home-run for Daiya with this one. Delish, goes on anything, doesn’t have too much of an artificial taste (though more than the caesar dressing does, I will say). I have also used this on several types of salad and as dip for pizza and veggies and have always been happy with how it tastes. Honestly, there's not much to say about it other than it tastes like a good ranch dressing, but without the dairy or eggs. Which is actually one of those little things in life that makes you wanna do about 50 fist-pumps in a row. It's OK. You can go ahead and do it. I know I did.
