Your new favourite top, made in NYC | Grammar NYC
Hey friends, we are almost into Spring over here on the West Coast, but somehow it's still snowing ? I'm into it though! It's so romantic to sit by the window with music playing softly and just watch the snow fall into the alleyway behind our apartment. Out here the snow doesn't stay very long and never gets very deep, so we get to enjoy it. Luckily I took the photos for today's blog post a while ago before the snow fell... because I'm sure not going to be standing outside trying to look cute in photos with no jacket when it's -5 out! Thankfully I got to look cute in this top, called The Conjunction, from Grammar NYC when it was a typical mild Vancouver day — no jacket needed (but a cute hat because why not).
What's incredible about Grammar NYC is that they aim to create the best, most favourite shirt you've ever owned. I absolutely love this goal. Part of curating a sustainable closet is simply slowing the heck down, which is so much easier to do if you really love the clothing you own. Their tops are made from 100% cotton because it is biodegradable and recyclable (read more about the Grammar sustainability practices on their website). Their tops also come in a wide variety of cuts and shapes, and all have fun names like The Verb, The Conjunction (pictured here) and The Split Infinitive. I highly recommend checking out their website to shop these styles — you will fall in love!
I chose to wear my Conjunction top with black skinny jeans, my favourite low-heeled booties, and my floppy felt hat from American Apparel. I love that a belt is not needed with this shirt. You basically just put it on and go because the tie does all the work for you. It definitely helps to accentuate your curves in the right places. It's also plain enough that you could accessorize your outfit while wearing this top, but interesting enough because of the tie that you could wear it clean and simple, like I chose to.
So what do you think? Would you flaunt this top? How would you style it? Let me know below — I love hearing your thoughts!
