Where to buy sustainable and ethically made face masks during COVID-19

Protect yourself and your loved ones and support fair, sustainable production practices when you purchase from these mask makers. Wearing a face covering in public is so imporant for flattening the curve and ending the COVID-19 crisis as soon as possible, so this is a great way to do so.

Recycled hemp and organic cotton face masks with elastic ear loops available in sets of one, three or six, made fairly in Portland, OR.

Fabric masks available now in adult and child sizes with fabric ties or elastic. Patterns as well as solid colors are available. These masks are made fairly in New Orleans from eco-friendly fabric.

Made of organic cotton and one mask is donated for each mask purchased. And, while the wait time is currently three weeks and they are selling packs of ten masks as the minimum order, this may be a good option if you have a large family or want to pool resources with neightbors or friends, espectially because many mask makers are limiting their order sizes at the moment.

Constructed with three layers of Hemp Organic Cotton and feature a pocket to hold a filter (filters are not included), these masks are ethically hand made in Canada. Plus, for every two masks purchased, Uniform Handmade donates two masks to local ornganizations that need extra protective gear.
